VALENTINES DAY OUTFIT IDEAS

Hello Everyone! Welcome back to my blog!
Today I'm going to share a few outfit idea's that are great for valentines day!

REBELLIOUS

This first look is probably my personal favorite! I love how it's a little rebellious with the ripped jeans and low cut tie up bodysuit. I paired this fitted bodysuit with some white ripped boyfriend jeans. The baggy white jeans look great with this super fitted top! To make it a little girly I added some strappy black heels and a cute white crossbody from Kate Spade. I also added a bright red Michael Kors bag as an option for a pop of colour! I also love the way a fitted leather jacket looks with this look. Giving it a little more rebel chic! I think a simple pair of gold studs would look great with this outfit. You wouldn't want a lot of jewelry since the top is low cut and has the tie up detail. A bold red lip would also look great with this look!

SIMPLE & GIRLY
This look is great for anyone who is still in school or just wants to keep it simple! I paired these light wash ripped jeans with a baby pink bodysuit. This makes it girly & comfy. Depending on what you are doing that day you can either wear a pair of tie up heels to dress it up or wear a pair of nude flats to dress it down. The accessories I choose for this outfit were simple large pear earnings to stick with the girly theme, great for v-day & a simple gold and white watch. Again using the same Kate Spade purse to keep it simple and girly. This outfit would look great with any nude-pink lip. My favorites are by Mac and there Velvet Teddy, Whirl and just a simple nude! You can always wear a pink lip if you're feeling extra girly!

DATE NIGHT
This look is super cute if you're going on a date! This two piece set is sexy and still very girly! I find if you're going to wear a bright red outfit you should tone down the accessories. I decided to go with nude heels and a nude purse to keep the attention on the outfit. I paired some simple gold studs with this outfit to match the gold bangle. Again simple yet girly and it doesn't take away from the outfit. A great lip option with this outfit is a simple nude lip. This one is a liquid lipstick from maybelline!

BUSINESS WOMAN

Last but not least, probably my second favorite outfit! This one is very business woman! I love the whole pant suit look! I find capes are very in this year and pull this outfit together. I love white on white so paired 2 different white crop tops with a wide leg dress pant. You can wear any shoe you prefer however, I find the black strappy shoe to look the best. If you're not into open toes shoes, you can always wear a simple black pointed shoe! Again, keeping the accessories simple, I went with a gold bracelet and the same white and gold watch. I think a simple small white crossbody looks great with this outfit! You can always add a pop of colour and go with a red statement bag! To complete the look I paired this outfit with a bold red lip!

& those are a few outfit idea's for valentines day! I hope you enjoyed them!

VALENTINES DAY OUTFIT IDEAS

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog.
Today I wanted to share 5 outfit ideas for Valentines day!
I really wanted to give 5 different outfit ideas for all tastes.
Hope you enjoy them!

" Girly "

For this first outfit I wanted to add a skater skirt because I find they are super comfy and cute! Since the skirt is a little more flared out, I decided to add a tight white lace top to the top. Lace is super romantic for Valentine's day. Adding a statement necklace is a perfect accessory. I always recommend, if wearing a statement necklace, keep the rest of your jewelry simple or non existent. You really want to focus the attention to one area and not all over the place. Adding pink shoes and a white bag makes the outfit girly and perfect for valentines day.

" Sophisticated "
With this look I was going for something that was a little more sophisticated. The matching grey top and skirt is so in right now! I love adding a pop of colour to a basic outfit. In this case, I thought pink was perfect for valentines day and is super flattering with the grey. I also did a statement necklace with this outfit as well with no other accessories to keep the attention on the necklace and outfit.

 " Rocker "
I love this outfit! The red dress with a touch of lace is super romantic and the leather jacket gives it such great character. It adds such a rocker vibe while still being girly. Since the top of this dress is lace I decided to go with no accessories. It keeps your attention on the dress and jacket. Pairing it with black high heels keeps the look clean and again focuses on the outfit itself. I decided to add a red clutch to the outfit to tie it all together.

" Casual "
With this outfit I was going for something that would be great to go to the movies in or great to wear during the day. The red pants add a pop of colour without being too much. The lace peplum top is romantic and flattering. It shows off your waist while still being comfy. With this outfit I wanted to add a touch of gold and I decided to do that with some bangles and gold studs on the black booties and purse. This just adds a little something extra to the outfit without being too bold.

 " Pretty In Pink "
This outfit is again girly and very flattering. The white pencil peplum skirt is flattering and cute for Valentine's day. I decided to keep the shirt basic and paired it with a basic pink v-neck shirt that has a little flair at the hips. I really wanted the outfit to be simple and girly so I added pink shoes and some cute gold bangles with pearls. I matched this outfit with a white bag to keep the attention on the outfit and accessories.

COVERGIRL MASCARA REVIEW

Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by!
I got a few Covergirl mascaras for Christmas and decided I wanted to share how I felt about them.
Keep reading to see my review on Covergirl Bombshell Volume Mascara, Covergirl Flamed Out Mascara & Covergirl LashBlast Length Mascara.

COVERGIRL BOMBSHELL VOLUME
Colour: Brown
When I received these three mascara's I was so eager to try this one first. I love the brushes in both ends however, I did find it hard to apply because of how large the mascara actual is. The first end of the applicator worked OK for me but nothing special. Once I switched to the second side it did add amazing length to my lashes but they got extremely stuck together! After wearing this mascara all day it didn't flake much which I love! BUT! when it came to taking this mascara off, it was a nightmare! Even the next morning this mascara was stuck in my lashes after numerous washes. I like to be able to take mascara on the go with me in case of emergency's  but with this one I couldn't. Its too large and awkward. Would I re purchase this mascara? Probably not.

COVERGIRL FLAMED OUT
Colour: Very Black

This mascara is amazing! I didn't think I would end up liking the way the brush was shaped but it ended up giving my lashes a nice "flamed out" look! The formula is really nice in this mascara, it lasted all day and did not flake at all! I'm a huge fan of any mascara that doesn't flake. This one does that and more! The brush size and shape again, give a great flamed out look and keeps your lashes separated and curled. I got little to no clumping and love that this mascara was very buildable. I love the colour of the tube, its super fun! Would I re purchase this mascara? Absolutely!

COVERGIRL LASHBLAST LENGTH
Colour: Black

.

This mascara was great . I would recommend this mascara to someone who is just starting out with makeup. The brush is very easy to work with and gets right into the corners of your eyes to get those little lashes. I did find it hard to build upon and I would have preferred a more buildable formula. The formula was long lasting and did not clump but did start to flake at the end of the day. I loved how sleek the tube was and it was great to take on the go because of how little it was. Over all, a great mascara but not something I would personally re purchase.

MY RANKING!

AMAZING ! - Flamed Out!
PRETTY GOOD ! - LashBlast Length
ALRIGHT... - Bombshell Volume

REVLON LIP REVIEW

Hello everyone and happy new year!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a safe and happy new years. To jump back into the swings of things, I thought I would do a review on 3 Revlon lip products I received for Christmas!

REVLON COLORBURST
Balm Stain
045 Romantic

This colour is truly just like the name. Its a very romantic red. The red is not as pigmented as I would have liked but I have to keep in mind its a stain and not a lipstick. The smell is surprising, it has a hint of  peppermint and I really enjoyed it. Although this is a stain, it still gave me great moisture. Throughout the day I did have to touch this one up quit a bit, that's just because red lips need more attention. If you like a red lip that is more natural looking - this is for you! Its sheer, light weight and perfect for everyday use!

REVLON COLORBUST
Matte Balm
215 Shameless

I'm completely in love with this lip formula! The colour is a little bold for me but the formula is to die for! I really enjoy the matte finish! It was very easy to apply and the pigmentation is amazing. Its very fill coverage and I did not see any patchiness throughout the day. This colour stayed on with little to no touch ups. The smell is smilier to the balm stain with a hint of peppermint. I will totally be going back to the store and grabbing a few of these in other colours!

REVLON JUST BITTEN KISSABLE
Balm Stain
005 Crush

This formula is the exact same as the colorbust formula, its very light weight and more of a sheer coverage. It really gives great moisture with a tint of colour. The smell is just like the others with a hint of peppermint. The just bitten was very easy to wear! I did not have to touch it up too much because even after it started to fad it looked very natural. This colour is gorgeous and perfect for all skin tones. Its the perfect deep pink.

I really do enjoy all three of these products but I would really recommend the matte balm. I love the coverage it gives and that you didn't need to touch it up much throughout the day. If your someone who likes minimal makeup I would then recommend the other two! They are very light weight and more sheer making them easier to wear on a day to day basis.
I hope my review and pictures help when your shopping for your own lip products!
Stay tuned for my next review on Cover Girl mascaras!

NEW YEAR, NEW YOU!

Hello everyone and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Before I get back into my normal beauty and fashion blogs I thought I would post my New Year's goals. Along with my goals are some tips and tricks to stay motivated during the new year. Lets get into it..

For me the most important thing when starting a new year is to STAY POSITIVE! This is extremely important in any aspect of your life. My grandmother always tells me that whatever you put out to the universe is what you'll get in return. I think about that quote every morning when I wake up. Its so important to keep a healthy state of mind when starting any new adventure.

LOVE YOURSELF - I cant stress how important this is! I wish I would have truly believed this when I was younger because it would have made life way easier. I was always trying to impress other people. Life is way to short for you to worry about what other people think. Do whatever you want! As long as you love what your doing and who you are, nothing else matters. Be true to yourself and whatever you set your mind to, you can do! Just believe in yourself and love yourself no matter what!

Of course like 90% of the world everyone wants to EAT HEALTHIER. This doesn't mean you have to cut everything out and go on an extreme diet to achieve your goal. For me, its cutting fatty foods out of my diet and eating more meals throughout the day. Its important to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner and snacks in between! One tip I would give when trying to eat heathier is to eat heathier portion sizes! Heres a link to a healthy portion size http://www.eatrightontario.ca

DRINK MORE WATER.
This is probably my favorite goal of 2015! I do not drink enough water at all! Drinking water will make so many differences in your life. Not only does it help when trying to loose weight. It also helps with your mental state of mind. Water is truly an amazing source that's free! Start your day off right by drinking a glass of water right when you wake up and add those glasses of water in throughout your day! A little tip I love is drinking ice cold water whenever I'm eating. The cold water is harder to digest and helps you loose weight. Water also helps to trick your stomach that you're full. Most of the time, your stomach thinks its hungry when really its just thirsty. Try drinking water when you get those cravings!

GETTING IN SHAPE
- This is a huge goal for me as well as my boyfriend for 2015. I know that everyone always says they want to be in better shape in the new year but we actually mean it! Do something active everyday! This doesn't mean you have to go for a run or do 100 sit ups. It just means, going for a walk around the block or even doing 5 jumping jacks, 5 squats, etc. Start off slow and work your way up! You don't want to push your body to the extreme.  As long as your making little steps each day, great! Even if your in bed and its 11pm you can still get a quick workout in..do 10 sit ups while in bed. Just remember, stay motivated! No one can change you, except you!

Well... those are my New Years resolutions and I'm sure they are very similar to many others. Just remember that you need to stay motivated! This life is the only one you have so make it worth while!  Just keep all of my steps in mind when focusing of your own goals. Stay away from any stressful situations because stress is the number 1 cause of any sickness. Believe in yourself and you'll do wonders! You'll be surprised at how much you can truly accomplish when you have a positive outlook on life. I hope my goals and tips help you to have the best year of your life!

PASSPORT TO FASHION - MY DREAM WEDDING

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog. Today I was given the "Passport to Fashion" Challenge from my best friend Carleigh Lewis over at carleighlewis.blogspot.ca She was given the challenge by Lover.ly

What is Lover.ly ? Lover.ly was launched in 2012 by a one time maid of honor. Her and her team of bridesmaids and groomsmen were set out to make the wedding planning process easier. Lover.ly is your one-stop-site to all things wedding! Bride's and Grooms can get inspiration and find people to hire and things to buy. Even if you are not planning a wedding and just love them like I do, this site works for you too! Add your pictures to your bored and create your own dream wedding.
My Lover.ly account is: Thebeautymanuel

Now, lets get into my dream wedding!!

My dream wedding would have to take place in France and what better place in France than in the French Riviera! My dream wedding would take place at a beautiful waterfront location with a gorgeous landscape, tons of flowers with a brick castle in the background. Too good to be true? Think again, In between Monaco and Nice is a town called Eze. In Ezz there is a gorgeous hotel called Chateau da la Chevre d'Or
The link to this gorgeous hotel will be below -
http://www.chevredor.com/uk/chateau-chevre-d-or-eze-official-site.php

.

With my dream location set, the next thing to plan is my dress and accessories!
The collage below are some pictures of my dream wedding

The Dress: To go along with my romantic location I thought only fit to wear a form fitting lace dress. I am so in love with this dress! The lace long sleeves is extremely romantic. The open back is super flattering and again very romantic. I love the belt because its very flattering for my body type and shows off my thin waist. This dress has that effortless look to it and doesn't need many accessories. That's the reason I love it! I love simple yet elegant looks.

The Bouquet: The bouquet is a great accessory! I love the waterfall bouquets and find they have a very romantic look to them. Again going with my "romantic" theme. I would pick all white roses and flowers and have a small ribbon with my initials hanging out. Just to add a personal touch.

The Shoes: My dream shoes would have to be a baby blue sparkly pair of heels! I love when brides add a "touch of blue" in their shoes. To me the baby blue with sparkles remind me of Cinderella which is my favorite Disney movie!

The Party Shoes: My party shoes need to be comfortable and cute! Even tho your dress will be hiding the shoes, you still want them to be cute! I love TOMS shoes and love there wedge heels! My party shoes would totally have to be white wedge heels by toms! Cute, comfy and you can wear them again!

My last accessory is your man! You man is going to be your most important accessory of the night! Make sure you man is looking on point just like you! I love when grooms wear a classic black and white tux. I would love my groom to wear all black, I find its super sharp.

Well, that's everything for my Passport to Fashion! I hope you enjoyed it & I recommend writing your own. Be sure to check out Lover.ly if your in the mood for some wedding inspiration!

xoxo Alicia

10 BEAUTY TIPS AND TRICKS

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by.
I wanted to mention a few of my beauty tips and tricks I have stumbled upon over the years.
I'm no beauty guru by any means but I am a girl and we all have different tricks with makeup!
Some of these you may know and some you may not but hopefully this helps a few of you!
Enjoy!

Tip 1 - When applying your concealer, instead of rubbing it in windshield wiper motions under your eye you should always dab with your finger or brush from the outside of your eye into the corners. This will prevent wrinkles and lines as well as help your concealer to last to its fullest. This is also great for pictures. If you wipe under your eye instead of patting you'll notice in the picture it will look streaky. & that's never cute!

Tip 2 - Do your hair before your makeup! I know we all usually do our makeup before our hair BUT! The heat from your hair tools actually can dry the makeup out on your face such as your mascara. It also causes your makeup to melt a little causing it to go deeper into your pores.

Tip 3 - Everyone always wants their eye liner to stay on longer & I have a little trick for that! Put a shade of eye shadow that matches your eye liner on a small angled brush and place that right over top of your liner. You can also smoke it into the waterline for a more dramatic look.

Tip 4 - Apply white eye liner into your water line for eyes to appear larger. This is great for pictures!

Tip 5 - Want your lipstick to stay on longer? After you have applied your lipstick take a Kleenex over your lips, take a setting powder on a small brush and tap onto your lips threw the Kleenex. This makes my lipstick last a few hours longer and gives a great matte effect!

Tip 6 - This is a weird tip I picked up from a you tuber I watch but it actually works! If you love LONG spider lashes- this is for you! Do your mascara in front of a fan. This will allow your mascara to dry faster so you can do tons of coats without them looking clumpy!

Tip 7 - Got those annoying baby hairs? Take a clear mascara or clear brow setting gel and comb those baby hairs back! Perfect for that sleek up do!

Tip 8 - Use an eye primer to help your eye shadow last all day. I love Urban Decay!

Tip 9 - This tip is for shaving. I love using conditioner instead of shaving gel! My skin is way more refreshed after using the conditioner. It has great moisture in it. You can get some great in-expensive conditioner at Giant Tiger for $1.00

Tip 10 - Use baby powder instead of dry shampoo! This trick is good those days you need to cover up those greasy roots & baby powder lasts way longer then dry shampoo.  Note: The baby powder wont add any lift like the dry shampoo but it does the trick if you need to cover the roots. This tip is great for fake blondes like myself who haven't been able to get to the hair salon!

Those are a few of my tips and tricks if your would like more, just comment below and I will throw together 10 more tips and tricks!
