DIY DRESSER FACE-LIFT

Hey guys, today I thought I would share a DIY!
My fiances aunt and uncle were getting rid of this dresser & since we just moved into our new place we decided to take it off their hands.
It was really simple to give this dresser a face-life, it only needed a new coat of paint and some new hard wear.
Step One: First I sanded the entire dresser, this will help the paint stick and last a lot longer!
Step Two: Paint the dresser! I did 2 coats!
Step Three: Once dry, apply a top coat.
Step Four: Find handles that you like and fit your space. Since this dresser was a little older it was extremely hard to find handles that fit. Since I couldn't find any that I really liked I decided to go with knobs. I found all of these knobs at Home Depot. The silver knobs were $1.50 each and the pretty glass knobs were $3.40 each!
* Side Note - Since our dresser is older and the drawers were a different thickness, our knob screws were too long. Home Depot exchanged all the screws free of charge! Awesome service!

Below is a few extra pictures!
Happy DIY-ing!

VALENTINES DAY OUTFIT IDEAS

Hello Everyone! Welcome back to my blog!
Today I'm going to share a few outfit idea's that are great for valentines day!

REBELLIOUS

This first look is probably my personal favorite! I love how it's a little rebellious with the ripped jeans and low cut tie up bodysuit. I paired this fitted bodysuit with some white ripped boyfriend jeans. The baggy white jeans look great with this super fitted top! To make it a little girly I added some strappy black heels and a cute white crossbody from Kate Spade. I also added a bright red Michael Kors bag as an option for a pop of colour! I also love the way a fitted leather jacket looks with this look. Giving it a little more rebel chic! I think a simple pair of gold studs would look great with this outfit. You wouldn't want a lot of jewelry since the top is low cut and has the tie up detail. A bold red lip would also look great with this look!

SIMPLE & GIRLY
This look is great for anyone who is still in school or just wants to keep it simple! I paired these light wash ripped jeans with a baby pink bodysuit. This makes it girly & comfy. Depending on what you are doing that day you can either wear a pair of tie up heels to dress it up or wear a pair of nude flats to dress it down. The accessories I choose for this outfit were simple large pear earnings to stick with the girly theme, great for v-day & a simple gold and white watch. Again using the same Kate Spade purse to keep it simple and girly. This outfit would look great with any nude-pink lip. My favorites are by Mac and there Velvet Teddy, Whirl and just a simple nude! You can always wear a pink lip if you're feeling extra girly!

DATE NIGHT
This look is super cute if you're going on a date! This two piece set is sexy and still very girly! I find if you're going to wear a bright red outfit you should tone down the accessories. I decided to go with nude heels and a nude purse to keep the attention on the outfit. I paired some simple gold studs with this outfit to match the gold bangle. Again simple yet girly and it doesn't take away from the outfit. A great lip option with this outfit is a simple nude lip. This one is a liquid lipstick from maybelline!

BUSINESS WOMAN

Last but not least, probably my second favorite outfit! This one is very business woman! I love the whole pant suit look! I find capes are very in this year and pull this outfit together. I love white on white so paired 2 different white crop tops with a wide leg dress pant. You can wear any shoe you prefer however, I find the black strappy shoe to look the best. If you're not into open toes shoes, you can always wear a simple black pointed shoe! Again, keeping the accessories simple, I went with a gold bracelet and the same white and gold watch. I think a simple small white crossbody looks great with this outfit! You can always add a pop of colour and go with a red statement bag! To complete the look I paired this outfit with a bold red lip!

& those are a few outfit idea's for valentines day! I hope you enjoyed them!

JANUARY FAVORITES

Hello Everyone, welcome back to my blog!
So sorry I have been m.i.a lately, I have been planning a lot of exciting things!
I recently got ENGAGED! & my fiance and I are heading off to Thailand to backpack as of Feb 22nd!
I started a new blog where I will be posting all of my travel adventures so be sure to check it out! Its called the Travel Manuel! Here's the link! www.travelmanuel.blogspot.com
Anyways, back to the beauty gossip! I wanted to share my January Favorites with all of you because I found some new products I've been LOVING!

First product I have been absolutely loving that I have had for a while but thought I would share in case any of you haven't tried it yet is the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. I use the lightest shade & use it to conceal and highlight!
It has a fantastic consistency! Its creamy but doesn't crease under your under eye. Its the best concealer I have used in a long time! When I am running late or having a day I don't want to wear a lot of makeup, I simple just use this under my eyes and on my problem areas and put a little pressed powder over top and I'm good to go! This product is a 10 out of 10 for me!

Another product I have been loving is again by Mayballine & it's their Studio Face Master Prime Primer. I'm currently using the one redness control & to blur any imperfections. I love this primer because it really does help with my redness! Its a green colour which helps mask the red colour in your skin. The consistency of the formula is great, its not sticky or tacky and dries quickly. I find this primer helps keep my foundation on all day! I work in a  restaurant so my skin gets oily and dirty quickly and recently since I started wearing this primer I have noticed my skin is a lot less oily after my shift! This product is an 9 out of 10 for me!

Again with the Maybelline products! No, I am not sponsored to talk about them, they are just by far my favorite drugstore product! This product could be my all time favorite (for this month anyways) & its their Master Contour, Blush and Highlight Pallet! I ADORE this product! Its creamy and pigmented and stays on all day! The highlight for me is to die for! Its so flattering on my pale skin and the contour is the perfect colour for my skin! I have been loving the contour colour for in my crease & the highlight for the inner corners of my eyes and eye brow bone! I am bringing this pallet on my trip for sure! Its perfect for the face & eyes!! 10 out of 10 for sure!

Since above I mentioned my eyes, a product I have been loving lately and have hit pan on each shadow is the Sonia Kashuk eye shadow pallets! I own every one and love all of them! My favorite is the brown natural with the silver/gold ish sparkle shades! Its has a great crease colour & the shimmer shade is great for a pop of colour in the center of your eye! I have been using this small pallet for almost a year & still have a ton of product left, a little goes a long way and the pigmentation is fantastic! This is also a 10 out of 10 for me!

& lastly this product is new for me and I have only been using it for about a week now but have been pretty impressed with it! Its the Rimmel 24 hour Super Curl. On the packaging is says no need to use an eye lash curler, the brush does it all for you & that's totally true! This mascara is great! It spreads your lashes while giving you the length and curl you desire. Its very buildable as well which is great! I use this mascara along side my number 1 which is the Maybelline Stiletto. I have always been a double mascara girl, I'm not too sure why but I find I always need to use two to get the length and curl I love! This mascara is perfect for traveling and will definitely be coming with me so that I don't need to bring a lash curler! This one isn't quit a 10 out of 10 for me but its pretty close with an 8 out of 10!

I hope you enjoyed my January Favorites and I hope this inspires you to try a few new products! These are all from the drugstore and very affordable! Again, I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while but I made it my New Year's resolution to post more often! Now that I am not working I will be able to post more frequently! Be sure to check out my Travel Blog to see what I'm up to!! Thanks for reading!
